Annie: Burnie Musical Society
Published on 12 March 2019
Eleven year old Annie lives at the New York Municipal Orphanage. Annie is always hopeful that her parents, who left her as a baby on the steps of the orphanage, will return to claim her. Annie decides to run away to find her parents, meeting a friendly dog and being befriended by a group of people made homeless because of the Depression.
Boasting one of Broadway's most memorable scores, including It's A Hard-Knock Life, Easy Street, N.Y.C. and the ever-optimistic Tomorrow, Annie is the heart warming tale of a young orphan, who is given the chance to spend Christmas with billionaire, Oliver Warbucks. Set during the Great Depression, little orphan Annie sets her sights on making us grin from ear to ear as she inspires a whole new generation.
Burnie Musical Society brings this wonderful production to the stage at Burnie Arts Theatre, with the season running from 4 to 13 April.
