Burnie Street Art Festival
Preparations have begun for the Burnie Street Art Festival, a celebration of street art aimed at brightening up our city, which will be held on Saturday 11 January.
Artist Paul Eggins has made a start on his creation on the Wilmot St Overpass. A bright and vibrant mirrored image of the Burnie coast line as the main focal point.
Artist Damien Rossiter will start preparing his canvas, the wall adjacent to the Burnie Library, this Thursday.
Both artists will be working on their pieces on the day of the festival and people are invited to come and watch the artworks be completed at the following times;
- Burnie Library – 10:30am to 12:30pm
- Wilmot Street Overpass – 1pm to 4pm
There will be a market, food stalls and stage with live music from bands including the J Arthur Band playing through the afternoon at the King Street Car Park which is adjacent to the Wilmot St Overpass location. Relax with food and tunes while you watch creativity unfold bringing those dreary walls to life!
