Burnie Park boasts rolling green hills, trees of many species, a rose garden, rhododendrons, a waterfall, a music shell, a memorial cenotaph, playgrounds, barbecues and picnic area, accessible playground and toilet facilities within a short stroll or drive from Burnie CBD.

Situated on the Bass Highway just west of the city center, Burnie Park offers stunning views over West Park Oval, the University of Tasmania, and Bass Strait, making it one of Tasmania's most picturesque parks. Divided by a natural waterway cascading over Oldaker Falls, visitors can enjoy a short walking trail leading to the falls from a pond populated by ducks.

Home to Burnie's oldest Colonial-era building, the Burnie Inn, and the Giant Freshwater Lobster sculpture by artist Tony Woodward, Burnie Park boasts a diverse landscape featuring exotic and native trees alongside expansive lawns.

The park hosts annual events such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day services, as well as community events like the Burnie Youth Festival - Rock Challenge and Carols by Candlelight. Accessible to all, Burnie Park even features a Liberty Swing for wheelchair users to enjoy.
