Burnie Draft Local Provision Schedule

Burnie Aerial

Representations invited by 20 December 2019 for a Draft Burnie Local Provision Schedule  to Tasmanian Planning Scheme now on exhibition.

The Tasmanian government has legislated to replace each of the current municipal planning schemes with a single Tasmanian Planning Scheme to manage how all land in Tasmania is used, developed, protected and conserved.

The Burnie City Council in its capacity as a planning authority has prepared a draft  Burnie Local Provisions Schedule (BUR LPS)  to establish how the Tasmanian Planning Scheme is to apply for the land within the Burnie municipal area

When approved, the BUR LPS will replace the current Burnie Interim Planning Scheme 2013.

The Council must exhibit all the relevant documents and maps comprising the draft BUR LPS, and all supporting material, for a period of 60 days and invite all interested persons to inspect the draft and make representations in writing on any matter relevant to the draft LPS.

The links below provide access to all the documents comprising the draft BUR LPS, and to all supporting documents.

Council encourages all people with a right or interest in land within the Burnie municipal area to view the draft LPS, and to provide any comment in response below by 20 December 2019.

For further information please contact Council on 03 6430 5700 and speak to one of our planning officers.
