Works will include:

  • Removal of 3 large and 2 small Eucalypt trees on top of the wall. The tree’s structural root system is within the excavation zone of the wall. For safe construction and future wall integrity the trees will be removed prior to works commencing.
  • Deconstruct 60m of the existing wall and store crib lock units for reuse.
  • Excavate and pour new concrete footing.
  • Reconstruct the wall using a mixture of new and reused crib lock units.

During the working hours, the south bound lane will be closed for periods and controlled under traffic lights. Pedestrian traffic will be managed onsite. We encourage urgent trips to the hospital to access from the east. After hours north bound and south bound lanes will be open and a designated pedestrian path adjacent work site.
