COVID-19 Vaccination Update for attending events at Burnie Arts & Function Centre

On 2 December 2021, a public health directive was issued regarding vaccination requirements. The Burnie Arts and Function Centre meets the venue criteria where vaccinated entry applies for patrons and certain workers engaged to work at certain licensed venues where alcohol is served or offered.

From 6 December 2021, any individual entering or remaining on the premises and attending an event where standing and drinking is permitted, unless expressly excluded under the order, must be fully vaccinated and must carry evidence of their vaccination status.

Entry points for the specific events at the Arts and Function Centre where vaccination is required will have signage displayed.

The health and safety of patrons and employees is our top priority. Any patron who is unable to meet the public health order vaccination requirements should refrain from attending the Arts and Function Centre.

Individuals found in breach of this requirement by TasPolice or WorkSafe Tasmania can receive on-the-spot fines of $778 per occasion.
