Let's all be polite parkers
Published on 04 August 2020
Footpaths are for people to walk on - parking on a footpath is a major concern for the general public.
Vehicles parked on a footpath can cause an obstruction and inhibit the independence of many vulnerable people, especially older or disabled people with visual or mobility impairments.
And when pedestrians, including families with prams, are forced into the road and into oncoming traffic, it is simply dangerous.
Lets all do the right thing and be polite parkers.
Please visit Legislation Tasmania for the legal ramifications of obstructing access to and from a footpath or driveway.
