Burnie City Council seeks expressions of interest from residents of Burnie to participate on a Working Group, for the review and development of a Multi Purpose Sports Stadium.

The Working Group will work with Burnie City Councillors and staff to review the current Upper Burnie Stadium, assess the current and future needs of sporting groups in the city and make recommendations on the most appropriate solution for Council to explore in more detail.

Once Council has decided on a preferred solution, it is expected that the Working Group will then work with an architectural consultant to develop concept plans and costings to assist in the preparation of funding submissions to State and Federal Governments.

If you have an interest in indoor sports, or believe you have skills or experience to assist in the development of a significant community project, please submit your Expression of Interest to Carolyn Lucas at clucas@burnie.net, together with a short precis on your interest and/or skills and/or experience. Council will select three individuals to sit on a Working Group together with representatives of indoor sporting groups and Council members.

Expressions of Interest close 4pm on Friday, 9 August 2019.
