Easter Sunday Fun with Kids in the Park
Published on 23 March 2018
Burnie Park is set to undergo a magical transformation in preparation for Burnie City Council’s Kids in the Park event. Have a slide, take a ride, have a bounce, blow some bubbles, dance with a butterfly, fight a Barbarian or pat a rabbit, but whatever you do, have fun!
Families are encouraged to head along to Kids in the Park held at Burnie Park on Sunday 1 April 2018 to experience a little bit of Easter magic. Held annually, this free, family oriented event will run from 12noon until 4pm.
Burnie City Council Mayor Alvwyn Boyd said “Council looks forward to putting this event on every year because it’s all about having good old fashioned family fun.
“Kids in the Park is a wonderful opportunity to bring families together, where everyone can be hands on and get involved in the great activities that we have planned. The
event is designed for children under 12, however we love seeing people of all ages joining in on the fun on the day.”
As in previous years, Kids in the Park will be jam-packed with fun activities including a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party; the Girl Guide Downhill Slide; the Battle Castle; Fairy Kingdom – where fairies are invited to wear their best costume and join in fairy dance lessons or listen to stories; plus food and live music from The Collection & Friends.
And it wouldn’t be Kids in the Park without a special guest appearance from Easter Bunny who will be on hand to help with the traditional Easter egg hunt.
Parking is available behind West Park Oval.
