Burnie is home to a large number of our region's older adults and it is a popular new home for retirees. The Burnie Senior Citizens Club is situated in the heart of Burnie. Regular activities include Tai Chi, indoor bowls and bingo.
The Burnie School for Seniors is a group of older people who meet once or twice weekly to stimulate their minds by looking at and discussing art, literature, music, current affairs, local and world situations. They meet at the Upper Burnie Sports Centre.
