West Park Oval is home to both Australian Rules football and cricket facilities, as well as cycling and athletics.

It has been a centre of sport since it was opened in 1900 and has hosted some legendary moments, including champion cyclist Danny Clark's Burnie Wheel win in 1977 and the infamous goal post removal during the 1967 Tasmanian State Premiership Final.

West Park  is the home ground of the Burnie Dockers men's and women's teams, the Burnie Athletics Club and the City of Burnie Cycling Club. The ground hosts the Burnie Gift and Burnie Wheel each year. It has also hosted A-Grade cricket matches.
