Making the most of West Park for our Community

The Burnie City Council and the University of Tasmania have embarked on a process to explore all the future possibilities for West Park and the opportunities it enables for our region.

As this much-loved community site enters its next phase, we’re inviting you to be part of our work to develop a plan that will guide all operations at West Park into the future.

The first part of this process is agreeing on a set of principles to underpin all future uses. During our previous community conversations we heard that you value:

  • Community
  • Accessibility
  • Place
  • Sustainability

We'd like to know if these are still the right fit for West Park, or if other principles should be considered.

Whether you represent a local school, business, government, sporting, cultural or community group, this is your chance to help shape a vibrant future for West Park.

Further details about the principles and information about the process are available below:

Timeline

Community feedback can be submitted until Saturday, 31 July

This will then be developed into a shared vision

Our plan for West Park to be released in November
