MULTI STOREY CAR PARK
Did you know that the newly extended multi storey car park is currently open until midnight every night?

Monday to Saturday inclusive 7.30am until midnight; and Sunday 10.00am until midnight.

It costs just $2.00 to park after 6.30pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sunday. 653 spaces available.

West Park Strategic Plan

Burnie City Council today released interpretive images of the West Park Strategic Plan and redevelopment to better inform the community as to Council's vision for the site.

The images, produced by architect and urban designer Gary Cole from Environmental Service and Design, are one interpretation of what is possible within the scope of the Strategic Plan, and will provide guidance for future developers.

Plantation Forestry

Council has released its policy on plantation forestry, in response to the community's concern on the increasing use of agricultural land for tree harvesting in the Burnie municipality.  The full comprehensive report is available from the   Agenda of the May 2008 (38 Mb) meeting.  A shorter, easier to read  Information Sheet has been written for the public which outlines the key issues and contents of Council's policy.

The Council meeting held on 11 December received a further update on the State Government's proposed Water & Sewerage Reform, including the report on a Regional Study of the Cradle Coast Council's prepared by consultants GHD. Read more on the Keep Burnie Water website.
