My Favourite Australian - National Portrait Gallery

A video exhibition from the National Portrait Gallery currently on display at the Burnie Regional Art Gallery titled ‘My Favourite Australian’. In early 2008, the ABC with the National Portrait Gallery called upon all Australians to vote for both their Most Popular Australian as well as nominating their favourite Unsung Australian Hero to feature in a video installation.
Local Unsung Hero, David Turner, is included in the exhibition. David is the Musical Director of the Burnie Concert Band who will be performing a concert at the Gallery on Sunday 14 March 2010 at 2pm after the official opening by Rosie Wasson, President of the Friends of the Gallery.
