Download Dog Registration Form
All dogs over the age of six (6) months living in the Burnie City Council area are to be registered with the Burnie City Council and it is an offence to keep an unregistered dog.
Registered dogs must wear the current Burnie City Council dog tag firmly attached to the collar.
Written consent must be obtained from the Council to keep more than two (2) domestic or four (4) working dogs.
All registrations fall due on 1 July each year.
A reduction in fees is given for DESEXED and MICRO-CHIPPED dogs (proof must be shown).
Registering your dog assists Council to return your dog in the event of it being impounded, and to notify you in case of an accident.
