Burnie Surf Life Saving Club and Waterfront projects - construction works commencing 18th September.

Fairbrother will commence Work on the BSLSC Building Redevelopment on Wednesday 17 October

The two story extension to the Surf Club building, designed by JAWS Architects, includes an increased Surf Club Room and Function Space, new kitchen and bar, increased storage area and an accessible toilet and lift.

Also: Damaged Boardwalk Stairway Repair update. Engineering design is underway and works are expected to be completed before the holiday season.

Waterfront Projects to Start

The Waterfront Eastern Promenade and the Burnie Surf Life Saving Club Redevelopment will soon be underway after a tender contract for both projects was awarded to Fairbrother Pty Ltd at last night’s council meeting.

Some construction works will start at the Burnie Surf Life Saving Club building around the 18th September

Please see the image attached - works will be in the area in orange.

The adjacent pedestrian access across the rail line will be closed during works.

Please use the main access adjacent to Fish Frenzy during this time.

Please also be aware that there will be construction vehicles moving to and from the construction site.
