The construction of the new Burnie Waste Transfer and Resource Recovery facility is now complete and was officially opened this morning by Mayor Steve Kons.

Burnie Mayor Steve Kons will turn the first sod at the current Mooreville Road Waste Management Centre, where work is set to begin tomorrow (Friday 11 May) on the construction of a new waste transfer facility.
