Youth spooky disco on for Burnie Shines

There is something for everyone during Burnie Shines.

To finish off the month long festival of events, Burnie’s youth are invited to this year’s Youth Making Changes Around Burnie (YMCAB) Halloween Disco at the Burnie PCYC, Terrylands on Friday 31 October 2014 at 7pm.

Burnie City Council’s Youth Development Officer Katie Smith said, “Come along in your best Halloween fancy dress to be in the draw to win goolish prizes and giveaways.”

The disco is for people aged between eight and 14.

“There is a $3 entry fee and there will be drinks and food available for purchase if you wish. The disco will be lots of fun, with great music and games.

“We always have a fun night every year. It is an opportunity for our young people to have a great time in a safe environment,” Miss Smith said.

Staff and police will be on the premises at all times and bag searches will be conducted. Parents/guardians must collect children from the venue at the disco conclusion at 8.30pm sharp.

This is an alcohol and drug free event. Strictly no pass outs.
