Weekend Sunrise will broadcast the weather report from Makers' Workshop

Television star James Tobin from the morning show Weekend Sunrise will broadcast his weather reports from the Makers’ Workshop between 7:00am and 8:30am this Saturday 23 July 2011.

Burnie City Council’s Tourism and Marketing Manager Jenny Cox said, “We are so thrilled that Weekend Sunrise would like to broadcast from the Makers’ Workshop. It’s a wonderful opportunity to promote Burnie and puts a national spotlight on the North-West of Tasmania and the fabulous products we have here.

“We will have many of our talented makers creating their products in the studios inside the workshop, the café will be open for breakfast creating a beautiful coffee aroma and the paper making workshop will be in full swing.”

The Makers’ Workshop will be open to the public early at 6:30am this Saturday.

“It would be terrific if the community came to visit during the broadcast on Saturday. We would love to see the Makers’ Workshop full of people to show the crew from Weekend Sunrise how grateful we are that they giving Burnie this amazing opportunity.

“Why not bring the whole family down, enjoy breakfast, meet James and experience firsthand what the rest of Australia will be talking about. You may even get to star on the show!” she said.
