Sea FM Christmas Parade 2018

The Sea FM Christmas Parade will be travelling through the streets of Burnie this Friday 14 December starting at 7pm.

With 20 floats already registered, the Highland pipe band and of course the big guy Santa confirmed to be making an appearance, Burnie is sure to be full of Christmas spirit on Friday evening.

Burnie City Council Acting Mayor Giovanna Simpson said “We look forward to seeing our local community groups, schools and businesses with their colourful and entertaining floats.”

Participants are reminded to assemble from 6pm onwards on Marine Terrace between Cattley and Spring Street, this area will be closed to the public by 5.30pm.

The rest of the roads will gradually close from 5.30pm and will remain closed until around 9pm (please see attachment for road closures).

The Parade is proudly sponsored by Sea FM and managed by Burnie City Council.
