New training module to benefit Council

Burnie City Council staff will benefit from the newly launched Integrity Commission training module.

Launched today at the Council Depot, a selection of Council staff undertook the very first outdoor workforce module focussing on ethical decisions at work.

Council General Manager Andrew Wardlaw said, “We are really happy to support the launch of the new training module. We welcome the assistance in providing professional resources for staff.”

The training module available from the Integrity Commission will equip the public sector with a selection of tools that focus on education and awareness in many areas of ethics and integrity.

“It is very important all staff have training and a good awareness about ethics, accountability and transparency. While I think we already have strong current processes, we can always learn more and the in-house module offered by the Integrity Commission is ideal,” Mr Wardlaw said.
