Halloween disco for youth

There is ghoulish fun to be had this Friday night.

Burnie City Council’s Youth Making Changes Around Burnie group together with the Burnie Police Community Youth Club (PCYC) are hosting the annual Halloween Disco on Friday 26 October from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Deputy Mayor Sandra French said, “The Halloween Disco is a great opportunity for young people aged 8 to 14 years to dress up in Halloween style and have a fun evening with friends.”

The Halloween Disco will be held at the Upper Burnie Hall, a new venue for this annual event.

“The Upper Burnie Hall is very central and we’ve got lots of great ideas for how we will decorate the space,” Ald Sandra French said.

There is a $2 entry fee that includes a lolly bag and cordial. There will be no pass-outs.

Burnie City Council’s Youth Development Officer, Karli Franks said, “We hope to see lots of young people come along and enjoy the great music and heaps of prizes. We do encourage parents to pick up and drop off their children at the door.”
