Former local comedian returns to Burnie

Former local comedian Josh Earl, is returning to the Burnie Arts & Function Centre for one performance of his new hilarious show on Thursday, 22 November at 8pm.

Deputy Mayor Sandra French said, “Josh was a huge hit last year when he toured his show, Josh Earl vs The Women's Weekly Children's Birthday Cake Book. Josh often reflects on his childhood growing up in Burnie and makes many references to Burnie and his family members. We get quite a special show, seeing his family members who are the bud of the joke are often in the audience.”

Since performing in Burnie last year Josh has appeared on Spicks and Specks, Tallkin' 'Bout Your Generation and won Best Comedy at the Perth International Fringe Festival.

Director of the Burnie Arts & Function Centre Greg Leong said, “Josh’s new show is the final performance as part of the 2012 subscription season. Josh was extremely popular last year. It’s great that we can finish the year on a high and with a show full of laughs.

“The 2012 subscription season has been a huge success with the highest attendance figures to date. We would love to see our loyal followers come along, have a laugh and celebrate the last subscription show of the year.”
