Once again the Burnie Park will become a magical wonderland on Easter Sunday.

Kids in the Park is a free entry event run by Burnie City Council, focused on good old fashioned family fun, scheduled this year on Sunday April 24 from 12 noon until 5pm.

Burnie City Council Tourism and Marketing Manager Jenny Cox said, “Kids in the Park is a wonderful event that is now in its fifth year. It gets bigger every year because families just love that it’s affordable and family friendly.

“Each year we aim to create a magical fantasy land where children and adults can purely focus on having fun. It’s a great way to celebrate Easter as a whole family,” she said.

This year children can enjoy the Easter egg hunts, fairy dance lessons, the giant hill slide, battle castle film set, butterfly bubble pond, fairy craft area, face painting, jumping castles and lots of great music. Plus Easter Bunny will be on hand to give away lots of Easter eggs.

“Cadbury have come on board this year as our event sponsor. There will be lots of yummy chocolate to giveaway on the day,” she said.

Kids in the Park is sponsored by The Advocate, Southern Cross Television, Cadbury and Reflextions Dance Studio.
