Easter Sunday Fun with Kids in the Park

Kids in the Park is on again this Sunday at the Burnie Park. Have a slide, take a ride, have a bounce, blow some bubbles, dance with a butterfly, fight a Barbarian or pat a rabbit, but whatever you do, have fun!

Families are encouraged to head along to Kids in the Park held at Burnie Park on Sunday 21 April 2019 to experience a little bit of Easter magic. Held annually, this free, family oriented event will run from 12noon until 4pm.

Burnie City Council Mayor Steve Kons said “Council looks forward to putting this event on each year, it’s all about having good old fashioned family fun.

Kids in the Park is a great opportunity to bring families together, where everyone can get involved in the great activities. The event is aimed at children under 12, however we love seeing people of all ages joining in on the fun on the day.”

As in previous years, Kids in the Park will be jam-packed with fun activities including a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party; the Girl Guide Downhill Slide; the Battle Castle; Fairy Kingdom – where fairies are invited to wear their best costume and join in fairy dance lessons or listen to stories; plus food and live music from CoolTrain Duo Wayne & Sherry Rand

And it wouldn’t be Kids in the Park without an appearance from Easter Bunny who will be on hand to help with the traditional Easter egg hunt.

See www.burnie.net for an event schedule. Parking is available behind West Park Oval.
