Burnie City Council has welcomed the announcement of funding for the further rollout of CCTV cameras in the Burnie CBD.
A further ten cameras will be installed in the CBD.
Burnie City Council Mayor Boyd said “that Burnie prides itself in having safe and attractive community spaces, a value that is consistent with our community strategic plan Making Burnie 2030 that we are working toward.”
This announcement will assist in promoting safety in Cattley and Wilmot Streets as well as the new multi-use pathway along Marine Terrace, and will also provide coverage of the main Wilson Street entrance to the CBD.
