Burnie youth urged to have their say

Burnie City Council is encouraging the city’s youth to have input into Council’s five year Youth Strategy.

Burnie City Council Mayor Anita Dow said, “Our youth are our city’s future, so its important that as a Council we try and meet their needs within the community as much as possible. As such we have developed a Youth Survey which we are encouraging all young people aged between 12 and 25 years of age to complete.”

“The survey looks at more than just what types of activities our youth would like to have access to in the future. It also allows us to gain a better understanding of the types and levels of services that are currently available for our youth and if there are any gaps that need addressing.”

“Information from the survey will assist in the development of Council’s five-year Youth Strategy – which will inform us on how Council can improve the programs, events and services for young people who live, work and study in Burnie.”

The survey can be downloaded from Burnie City Council’s website – www.burnie.net

Youth who complete the survey will automatically go in the draw to won a $150 Burnie City Link Voucher
