Burnie Skate Park - Have Your Say

Burnie City Council has allocated $25,000 to fund improvement works at the Burnie Skate Park in the 18/19 capital works budget and will be consulting with users during July to provide a voice to the people who use the park.

A survey is available on our website burnie.net and we invite users to share their views on what improvement works they would like for the skate park. Schools are being approached and we are offering focused consultation sessions to interested students. There are two $100 Red Herring Surf gift vouchers to be won; prizes will be drawn from survey participants.

In addition to the school based focus groups, young and old park users can also request to be part of a focus group to be held toward the end of July. To be a part of this focus group please contact the Youth Development Officer at Council.

Burnie City Council Mayor Alvwyn Boyd said “The skate park is used by a wide range of people – young children with their parents, families, groups of older friends. I encourage everyone who uses the skate park to have their say.”
