Bass Highway/West Park Grove Traffic Alterations - Temporary closure of right turn lane

Users of the Bass Highway/ West Park Grove intersection are advised that from Thursday 1 March 2012 until the following Thursday 8 March 2012 the right turn from the Bass Highway into West Park Grove will be temporary unavailable due to the upgrade works.

During this period, Shaw Contracting will be undertaking sealing and median construction works to progress the project.

Motorists wishing to turn right into West Park Grove from the Highway are advised to take alternate routes via Brickport Road.

Message Boards will be placed at the Cooee Beach car-park and at Burnie Park to advise eastbound traffic to use alternative routes.

Motorists are also advised that the works could be delayed or extended due to inclement weather and any changes or updates will be provided as they occur.

Also, over the next four weeks, motorists may experience some delay and inconvenience with the operation of the signals as they are transitioned to the new installation.

We apologise for any delays or inconvenience, however the work is necessary to complete the next stage of the upgrade.

We thank you for your patience, and continue to ask that all road users and pedestrians comply with all signage and direction given by the Contractor as the work progresses.

If you have any questions or queries in relation to the project, the consulting firm overseeing the works on behalf of the Council, GHD, has established a project information desk which can be contacted by phone (03) 6432 7922, or by email
