Building Information Request

The Burnie City Council is required to keep records of most new building, demolition and plumbing work performed in the Burnie municipal area.

Council’s records may contain information and plans for an existing building on land in Burnie.  

Council will search for and make information and plans available to an eligible person upon receipt of an application and payment of the applicable search fee. 

A copy of information forming part of the Council’s building record may be provided upon payment of the applicable copy fee.
