CBD Cleaner

Due to an upcoming retirement, the Waste Team are looking for a new team member.

The Opportunity

The Waste Management team is known for the pride they take in maintaining Burnie’s CBD. 

Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join this team in the role of CBD Cleaner.

The Role

The role is integral to the Works Department to ensure that Burnie’s CBD and other business districts are maintained and presented to a high standard.

If successful you would be working closely with one other team member to perform tasks such as:

  • Street sweeping
  • Street littler collection
  • Footpath cleaning
  • Weed spraying
  • Garbage bin emptying
  • Relief garbage truck driver

 In addition to your primary tasks this role provides a vital role in supporting other waste team operations.

This role requires participation in a weekend roster working four (4) hours every second Sunday morning.

  • A medium-rigid truck licence. 
  • Experience operating side and rear loading garbage trucks is an advantage
