Teeny was elected in October 2014. For many years Teeny has had a desire to contribute to her local community and is best known for her role in running the annual Burnie Carols by Candlelight event.

Her previous employment includes working as a dental nurse, an employment consultant and an events co ordinator. Teeny is a wife and a mother and has active involvement in a range of community activities including being the president of the local School Parent’s and Friends, MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers) parent support group and has a special interest in the arts and music.

Teeny's particular interests lie in the social side of Municipal affairs and what really makes up the heart of a local council. Her goal is to see the region prosper economically and rebuild where it can from the recent downturn in business activities, particularly the manufacturing sector. She sees herself as having a 'can do, will do’ mentality and will assist where she can to achieve the best outcomes.

Teeny recognises that one person on their own can only achieve so much, but a united team that is not afraid to challenge can be very effective working together to maximise the best possible outcomes. In short, Teeny is committed to teamwork and serving you - the community of Burnie!
